Joseph Audio was showing with Bel Canto and Cardas Audio, as they have been known to do before, at this years California Audio Show.
Joseph Audio had, by far, this year’s most perfect speaker-to-room setup at the show.
We have all probably heard small speakers do a great job in a small room – and it causes us to poo-poo the exhibitors who try to put big speakers in those rooms… for awhile. But then time goes by and we forget the magic that small speakers, when well setup and driven appropriately, can wreak on us in small rooms.
These $7,700 monitor speakers pressurized the room and filled it with, not a perfectly flat frequency response top-to-bottom, of course, but flat enough and hitting all the frequencies needed to create a full, enjoyable sound.

Familiar-looking drivers, photographed clumsily, did the job this year. Is $7,700 a lot of money for a monitor speaker? Or not a lot of money?
In today’s high-end audio market, these are very reasonably priced.

Joseph Audio was showing with Bel Canto – which was doing the amplification honors.
